FUN & GAMES: PRE-SCHOOL
Fun in the garden with Robot Man
Create your own Robot Man. Details below...
Create a Robot Man from shoe boxes and other boxes. Paint it, stick on eyes, wrap some of his parts with foil etc. Build it in such a way that you can open up the different boxes (or some of them) that make up Robot Man.
HOW ROBOT MAN WORKS:
Robot Man is the game/fun creator of the party. Hide away the sweets in the different boxes making up his body.
Robot Man can speaks to the adult facilitating the games. BUT he only speaks once the children are sitting dead quite in front of him. Robot Man will whisper in the adults ear what game or task the children need to do or complete next . The adult in turn will now instruct the kids on what to do. Remember this is all make believe so play along.
Once a task is completed the children need to return to Robot man where they will receive a sweet from him.
Place a party bag with each child’s name inside Robot Man as well.
GAMES TO PLAY:
(these games can be played without adding Robot Man)
WALK THE BEAM:
Walk on a beam across a pool of make believe sharks. A blue cloth can serve as water, Some fins cut out of hardboard can suggest the sharks and a beam can be placed on two bricks to form a bridge across the ‘shark pool’.
Build a tunnel using big cardboard boxes. Kids must crawl through it.
Draw 10 circles (about 30cm in diameter) on the ground. Space them gradually further apart. Avoid a straight line – make it interesting. Children must jump from one to the other and aim to complete the course.
Play music like “River Dance’. While the music is playing the kids should dance. When the music stops the kids should freeze. Repeat this a few times.
- Jump on one leg for 10 seconds.
- Run to the gate/door/tree and back.
- Walk on all fours.
- Sit and stand up 5 times.
